Captain Hon. Lawrence Ughtred Kay-Shuttleworth1

     Captain Hon. Lawrence Ughtred Kay-Shuttleworth was born on 21 September 1887. He was the son of Ughtred James Kay-Shuttleworth, 1st Baron Shuttleworth and Blanche Marion Parish.1 He married Selina Adine Bridgeman, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Hon. Francis Charles Bridgeman and Gertrude Cecilia Hanbury, on 1 February 1913.1 He died on 30 March 1917 at age 29 at Vimy Ridge, France, killed in action.1
     He was barrister Inner Temple , unsuccessful Lib parly candidate Altrincham 1913, Private Sec to Walter Runciman, Privy Counsellor (P.C.) (see BP&B 2003 RUNCIMAN OF DOXFORD, V) 1913–14, Captain and Adj Royal Field Artillery WW I (despatches) in 1913.2 He was a barrister.1 He fought in the Battle of Vimy Ridge.

Charles Ughtred John Kay-Shuttleworth, 4th Baron Shuttleworth

     Charles Ughtred John Kay-Shuttleworth, 4th Baron Shuttleworth was born on 24 June 1917. He was the son of T/Captain Hon. Edward James Kay-Shuttleworth and Sibell Eleanor Maud Adeane. He married Anne Elizabeth Phillips, daughter of Colonel Geoffrey Phillips and Pamela Frances Ada Ridley, on 5 November 1947. He died on 5 October 1975 at age 58.1
     He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) Lancs 1944.1 He gained the title of 4th Baron Shuttleworth. He graduated in 1938 with a Eton and Magdalene College Cambridge Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) , Master of Arts (M.A.) 1953).1 He was T/Maj Royal Horse Artillery WW II (wounded twice, invalided) in 1939.1 He was Military Cross (M.C.) in 1940.1 He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) in 1956.1

Maj.-Gen. William Birchall Macaulay King1

     Maj.-Gen. William Birchall Macaulay King was the son of Colonel Frank King. He married Selina Adine Bridgeman, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Hon. Francis Charles Bridgeman and Gertrude Cecilia Hanbury, on 31 January 1920.1 He died on 22 June 1950.1
     He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).1 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).1

     Colonel Bernard Ramsden James was born circa 1857.1 He was the son of John Henry James and Jane Ramsden Ashworth.1 He married Angela Mary Kay-Shuttleworth, daughter of Ughtred James Kay-Shuttleworth, 1st Baron Shuttleworth and Blanche Marion Parish, on 30 December 1899.1 He died on 30 April 1938.
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).2

     Nina Louisa Kay-Shuttleworth was born on 31 March 1879. She was the daughter of Ughtred James Kay-Shuttleworth, 1st Baron Shuttleworth and Blanche Marion Parish. She married Eustace Gilbert Hills on 21 December 1910. She died on 11 April 1948 at age 69.
      Her married name became Hills.

     She was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) Lancs 1934.1 She was County Commissioner of NE Lancashire Girl Guides (V-Pres 1950), memb Lancashire CC Records Ctee and Lancashire County Magistrates Ctee 1952 in 1916.1 She was Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1949.1
