Captain Hon. Lawrence Ughtred Kay-Shuttleworth was born on 21 September 1887. He was the son of Ughtred James Kay-Shuttleworth, 1st Baron Shuttleworth and Blanche Marion Parish.1 He married Selina Adine Bridgeman, daughter of Brig.-Gen. Hon. Francis Charles Bridgeman and Gertude Cecilia Hanbury, on 1 February 1913.1 He died on 30 March 1917 at age 29 at Vimy Ridge, France, killed in action.1
