Brig.-Gen. Hon. Francis Charles Bridgeman was born on 4 July 1846.1 He was the son of Orlando George Charles Bridgeman, 3rd Earl of Bradford and Hon. Selina Louisa Weld Forester.1 He married, firstly, Gertrude Cecilia Hanbury, daughter of George Hanbury and Mary Trotter, on 26 July 1883.1 He married, secondly, Agnes Florence Briscoe, daughter of Richard Holt Briscoe, on 27 November 1913.1 He died on 14 September 1917 at age 71.1
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Scots Guards.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Bolton between 1885 and 1895.1 He was commander of the Staffordshire Infantry Brigade between 1892 and 1899.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of Isabella the Catholic of Spain.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Staffordshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Shropshire.1 He was Brigadier-General of the Central Group, London Regiment Volunteer Training Corps.1
