     Charles John Johnstone was born on 20 December 1877. He was the son of Lt.-Col. George Charles Keppel Johnstone and Agnes Caroline Chamberlayne. He married Doris Ashford, daughter of J. Ashford, in 1905. He died on 18 May 1937 at age 59.

     James Ross Farquharson was born on 9 January 1834.1 He was the son of James Farquharson and Janet Hamilton Dundas.2 He married Elizabeth Louisa Oswald, daughter of Alexander Haldane Oswald of Auchincruive and Lady Louisa Elizabeth Frederica Craven, on 19 November 1864.1 He died on 17 March 1888 at age 54.1
     James Ross Farquharson was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1 He was Lieutenant-Colonel Scots Fusiliers Guards.1 He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He lived at Invercauld, Scotland.3
