     Maj.-Gen. Corbet Cotton was born on 10 August 1808.3 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Sir Willoughby Cotton and Lady Augusta Maria Coventry.2 He married Christina Augusta Des Voeux, daughter of Sir Charles Des Voeux, 2nd Bt. and Christina Hird, on 11 May 1847.3 He died in 1885.3
     Maj.-Gen. Corbet Cotton gained the rank of Major-General in the service of the 49th Regiment.3

     Walter Arthur Keppel Craven was born on 16 March 1836.1 He was the son of Hon. George Augustus Craven and Georgina Smythe.1 He married Comtesse Elisabetta Maria Luigia Tadea Tadini, daughter of Comte Ercole Oldofredi Tadini, on 22 September 1864.1 He died on 21 December 1894 at age 58.1
     Walter Arthur Keppel Craven fought in the Burma War in 1852.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the China War in 1860, where he was mentioned in despatches.1
