Evan Michael Ronald Baillie was born on 19 March 1949.1 He is the son of Michael Evan Victor Baillie, 3rd Baron Burton of Burton-on-Trent and of Rangemore and Elizabeth Ursula Foster Wise.1 He married, firstly, Lucinda Law, daughter of Robert Law, on 17 October 1970.2 He and Lucinda Law were divorced in 1984.2 He married, secondly, June Gordon on 2 October 1998.2
     Hon. Evan Michael Ronald Baillie was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.2 He was educated at Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.1
