     Hon. Hugh Leslie Courtenay was born on 1 August 1852.2 He was the son of Reverend Henry Hugh Courtenay, 13th Earl of Devon and Lady Anna Maria Leslie.2 He married Laura Georgina Courtenay, daughter of Major George Henry Courtenay and Laura Samuda, on 31 March 1880.1 He and Laura Georgina Courtenay were divorced in 1884.1 He died on 24 November 1907 at age 55.2
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2

     Laura Georgina Courtenay was born on 26 April 1861.1 She was the daughter of Major George Henry Courtenay and Laura Samuda.1 She married, firstly, Hon. Hugh Leslie Courtenay, son of Reverend Henry Hugh Courtenay, 13th Earl of Devon and Lady Anna Maria Leslie, on 31 March 1880.1 She and Hon. Hugh Leslie Courtenay were divorced in 1884.1 She married, secondly, Reginald Latham Workman on 7 February 1885.1 She died in 1947.1
     From 31 March 1880, her married name became Courtenay. From 7 February 1885, her married name became Workman.

Major George Henry Courtenay1

     Major George Henry Courtenay was born on 23 December 1814.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Thomas Peregrine Courtenay and Anne Wynell-Mayow.1 He married Laura Samuda, daughter of David Samuda, on 22 September 1852.1 He died on 2 January 1910 at age 95.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 60th Rifles.1

     Laura Samuda was the daughter of David Samuda.1 She married Major George Henry Courtenay, son of Rt. Hon. Thomas Peregrine Courtenay and Anne Wynell-Mayow, on 22 September 1852.1 She died on 28 June 1892.1
     Her married name became Courtenay.
