     Richard 6th Fürst zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg was born on 29 October 1934 at Giessen, Hessen, Germany.2 He is the son of Gustav Albrecht 5th Fürst zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and Margareta Fouché d'Otrante.1 He married Benedikte Astrid Ingeborg Ingrid zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, Princess of Denmark, daughter of Frederik IX zu Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg, King of Denmark and Ingrid Victoria Sofia Louise Margareta Bernadotte, Princess of Sweden, on 3 February 1968 at Fredensborg, Denmark.2
     Richard 6th Fürst zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg was baptised with the name of Richard Casimir Karl August Robert Konstantin. He gained the title of 6th Fürst zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg in 1944.2

She married, secondly, Carlo Galdo on 19 December 1991. She married, firstly, Enrico dei conti Marone Cinzano, son of Alberto Marone Cinzano, Conte Marone Cinzano and Cristina dei conti Camerana, on 8 July 1989.2 She and Carlo Galdo were separated.
