     Friedrich Markgraf von Brandenburg-Bayreuth was born on 10 May 1711 at Weferlingen, Germany.1 He was the son of Georg Karl Friedrich Markgraf von Brandenburg-Bayreuth.1 He married, firstly, Friederike Sophie Wilhelmine Prinzessin von Preußen, daughter of Friedrich Wilhelm I König von Preußen and Sophia Dorothea Hanover, Princess of Great Britain, on 20 November 1731.1 He married, secondly, Sophie Karoline Marie Herzogin von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel, daughter of Karl I Herzog von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel and Philippine Charlotte Prinzessin von Preußen, on 18 September 1759.1 He was also reported to have been married on 20 September 1759. He died on 26 February 1763 at age 51 at Bayreuth, Bayern, Germany.1
     Friedrich Markgraf von Brandenburg-Bayreuth gained the title of Markgraf von Brandenburg-Bayreuth.1
