Sir Maurice Berkeley, 3rd Viscount Fitzhardinge of Berehaven was baptised on 15 December 1628 at Bruton, Somerset, England.3 He was the son of Charles Berkeley, 2nd Viscount Fitzhardinge of Berehaven and Penelope Godolphin.1,2 He married Anne Lee, daughter of Sir Henry Lee, 1st Bt. and Eleanor Worsley, before December 1666.2 He died on 13 June 1690 at age 61, without legitimate male issue.2 He was buried at Bruton, Somerset, England.2 His will (dated 22 April to 3 May 1690) was probated on 27 June 1690.2
Sir Maurice Berkeley, 3rd Viscount Fitzhardinge of Berehaven was created 1st Baronet Berkeley, of Bruton, co. Somerset [England] on 2 July 1660.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wells between 1661 and 1679.2 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Viscount Fitzhardinge of Berehaven, co. Kerry [I., 1663] on 12 June 1668.3
On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.2
