     Lt.-Col. Sir William Richard Des Voeux, 9th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Richard.¹ He gained the title of 9th Baronet Des Voeux.¹

     Catherine Rosemary Jean Aird was born in 1972.¹ She is the daughter of Jeremy John Aird and Mary Elizabeth Des Voeux.¹

     Major Ronald Aird was born on 4 May 1902.¹ He was the son of Malcolm Rucker Aird and Nellie Margaret Dummett.¹ He married Viola Mary Baring, daughter of Sir Godfrey Baring, 1st Bt. and Eva Hermione Mackintosh, on 16 April 1925.¹ He died in 1986.¹
     Major Ronald Aird was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was Assistant Secretary of the Marylebone Cricket Club between 1926 and 1953.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Major in the service of the 4th Company, London Yeomanry (Territorial Army).¹ He was decorated with the award of Military Cross (M.C.).¹ He was decorated with the award of Territorial Decoration (T.D.).¹ He was Secretary of the Marylebone Cricket Club between 1952 and 1962.¹ He was President of the Marylebone Cricket Club in 1968.¹

     Viola Mary Baring was born on 8 February 1905.² She was the daughter of Sir Godfrey Baring, 1st Bt. and Eva Hermione Mackintosh.^1,2 She married Major Ronald Aird, son of Malcolm Rucker Aird and Nellie Margaret Dummett, on 16 April 1925.¹ She died on 18 April 1965 at age 60.¹
     From 16 April 1925, her married name became Aird.¹

     Sir Godfrey Baring, 1st Bt. was born on 18 April 1871.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Charles Baring and Helen Graham.¹ He married, firstly, Eva Hermione Mackintosh, daughter of Alexander Aeneas Mackintosh of Mackintosh, on 26 January 1898.¹ He married, secondly, Brenda Margery Blake, daughter of Canon Joseph Sewell Blake, on 22 January 1937.¹
     Sir Godfrey Baring, 1st Bt. gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Hampshire Regiment.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff in 1897.¹ He held the office of Chairman of the Isle of Wight County Council between 1898 and 1957.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for the Isle of Wight between 1906 and 1910.¹ He held the office of Parliamentary Private Secretary between 1908 and 1910, to the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of the Colonies.¹ He held the office of Parliamentary Private Secretary between 1911 and 1913, to the President of the Board of Education.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Barnstaple between 1911 and 1918.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Baring, of Nubia House, Isle of Wight [U.K.] on 4 February 1911.¹ He held the office of Alderman of the London City Council between 1920 and 1922.¹ He held the office of Chairman of the Isle of Wight County Bench in 1934.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Hampshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire.¹ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1952.¹

     Gillian Viola Aird was born on 17 June 1930.¹ She is the daughter of Major Ronald Aird and Viola Mary Baring.¹ She married, firstly, Robert Ian MacDonald, son of Ian MacDonald, on 22 November 1951.¹ She and Robert Ian MacDonald were divorced in 1961.¹ She married, secondly, Christopher Michael Maude, son of Charles Wilfred Maude, on 30 November 1962.¹
     From 22 November 1951, her married name became MacDonald.¹ From 30 November 1962, her married name became Maude.¹ She lived in 2003 at Feildings, Hoe Lane, Flansham, Bognor Regis, Sussex, England.¹

     Robert Ian MacDonald is the son of Ian MacDonald.¹ He married Gillian Viola Aird, daughter of Major Ronald Aird and Viola Mary Baring, on 22 November 1951.¹ He and Gillian Viola Aird were divorced in 1961.¹

     Ian MacDonald was born in 1955.¹ He is the son of Robert Ian MacDonald and Gillian Viola Aird.¹

     Zara MacDonald was born in 1953.¹ She is the daughter of Robert Ian MacDonald and Gillian Viola Aird.¹ She married Daniel E. Harris in 1980.¹
     From 1980, her married name became Harris.¹
