     Margaret Oliphant was born on 21 August 1799 at Gask, Perthshire, Scotland.1,2 She was the daughter of Laurence Oliphant, 8th of Gask and Christian Robertson of Ardblair.1 She married Thomas Kington, son of Thomas Kington and Charlotte Miles, on 26 May 1830 at Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire, England.1,2 She died on 14 September 1839 at age 40 at Teignmouth, Devon, England.1,2
     From 26 May 1830, her married name became Kington.1

     Laurence Oliphant, 8th of Gask was the son of Laurence Oliphant, 7th of Gask and Margaret Robertson.2 He married Christian Robertson of Ardblair, daughter of Joseph Robertson of Ardblair, in 1795.3 He died in 1819.1

     Thomas Laurence Kington-Oliphant, 11th of Gask was born on 16 May 1831 at Charlton House, Wraxall, Somerset, England.1,2 He was the son of Thomas Kington and Margaret Oliphant.1 He married Frances Dorothy Jebb, daughter of Samuel Henry Jebb and Frances Straw, in 1856 at Firbeck Hall, Yorkshire, England.1,2 He died on 8 July 1902 at age 71 at Bournemouth, Hampshire, England, without issue.1,2
     Thomas Laurence Kington-Oliphant, 11th of Gask was baptised with the name of Thomas Laurence Kington.1 He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was a barrister.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).1
