     Ralph Assheton was born in 1535.3 He was the son of Ralph Assheton and Alice Hulton.2 He married, firstly, Johanna Radclyffe, daughter of Edward Radclyffe.1 He married, secondly, Anne Talbot, daughter of Thomas Talbot.4 He died on 8 May 1616.5
     Ralph Assheton held the office of Receiver of the Duchy of Lancaster.4 He held the office of High Sheriff of Lancashire in 1594.4 He lived at Great Lever, Lancashire, England.1
