     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Bengal Staff Corps.2

     From 3 September 1857, her married name became Bayly.2

     John Bayly was born on 30 November 1830.2 He was the son of John Bayly and Catherine Yates.3 He married Mary Anne Charlotte Barrington, daughter of Daniel Barrington and Anne Williams, on 3 September 1857.1 He died on 15 November 1890 at age 59.1 He was also reported to have died on 15 November 1899.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Duke of Lancaster's Militia.2 He held the office of High Sheriff in 1874.2 He held the offices of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)3 and Justice of the Peace (J.P.)3 He lived at Debsborough Lodge, Nenagh, County Tipperary, IrelandG.3
