     William Sinclair, 4th Lord St. Clair was the son of Henry Sinclair, 3rd Lord St. Clair and Margaret Hepburn.1 He married, secondly, Mariota Bruce.2 He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Keith, daughter of William Keith, 2nd Earl Marischal and Lady Elizabeth Gordon, after 17 April 1524.2 He died after 17 July 1570.2

     Henry Sinclair, 5th Lord St. Clair was born from 1527 to 1528.1 He was the son of William Sinclair, 4th Lord St. Clair and Lady Elizabeth Keith.1,2 He married, firstly, Janet Lindsay, daughter of John Lindsay, 5th Lord Lindsay of the Byres, circa June 1547.3 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Forbes, daughter of William Forbes, 7th Lord Forbes and Elizabeth Keith, before 26 March 1588.4 He died on 21 October 1601.1
     Henry Sinclair, 5th Lord St. Clair succeeded to the title of 5th Lord St. Clair in 1570.1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] before 1573.3
