     David Robert Ewart Annesley was born on 9 April 1936.1 He is the son of Major William Alan Cecil Annesley and Dorothy Vaughan Yewdall.1 He married, firstly, Patricia Jones, daughter of V. I. Jones, in October 1960.1 He and Patricia Jones were divorced in 1968.1 He married, secondly, Jane Victoria McLeod Ackroyd, daughter of Sir John Robert Whyte Ackroyd, 2nd Bt. and Jennifer Eileen McLeod Bishop, in 1992.1
     David Robert Ewart Annesley was educated at Scotch College, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.1 He gained the rank of Pilot Officer in the service of the Royal Air Force.1 He was a sculptor.1 He lived in 1999 at 77 Park Avenue North, London, England.1
