     George Borthwick was the son of William Borthwick, 8th of Crookston and Eupham Browne.1 He died in 1685, without issue.1
     He was Tutor of Crookston in 1681.1 He lived at Muirhouse, Scotland.1

     Francis Borthwick was baptised in February 1657.2 He was the son of James Borthwick and Marietta Merchiston.1 He married Issobell Broun on 24 September 1678.2 He died on 8 March 1702 at age 45.1,2 His will was probated on 19 March 1706.2
     He was a surgeon.2 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (F.R.C.S.E.).2 He lived at Hartsyde, Scotland.1
     He also one other daughter.1
