     Hon. Malcolm Algernon Borthwick was born on 27 April 1881.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Borthwick, 1st Bt. and Letitia Mary Banks.1 He married Blanche Buckland Gorrie, daughter of Henry Thomson Gorrie, on 9 March 1905.1 He died on 27 May 1941 at age 60.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards (Special Reserve).1 On 8 February 1913 he was granted the rank of a baron's son.1

Malcolm Algernon Borthwick and Blanche Buckland Gorrie.1 He married Edith Wylde Addison, daughter of James Stanley Addison, on 20 February 1935.1 He died on 6 January 1975 at age 67, killed in a motor accident caused by gales.1
     He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1927 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1934 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the London Scottish Gordon Highlanders.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)1
