     John Laurence David Aschan was born on 1 May 1943.3 He is the son of Carl Nils Wilhelm Gunnar Aschan and Marit Victoria Guinness.2 He married, firstly, Pennant Elfrida Iremonger, daughter of Thomas Iremonger, on 20 September 1967.3 He and Pennant Elfrida Iremonger were divorced in 1968.3 He married, secondly, Penelope Jane Wilson, daughter of Robert Edward Arnsby Wilson, on 25 June 1970. He married, thirdly, Emma Mary Henderson, daughter of Robert Alistair Henderson and Bridget Elizabeth Lowther, in 1979.4 He and Penelope Jane Wilson were divorced in 1978.3 He and Emma Mary Henderson were divorced in 1981.4
