     Violet Mary Hambro was born in 1884.1 She is the daughter of Sir Everard Alexander Hambro and Gertrude Mary Stuart.2 She married Everard Reginald Martin Smith, son of Martin Ridley-Smith and Emily Catherine Stuart, in 1906.1 She died in 1965.1
     From 1906, her married name became Smith. She was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.).1
