     William Bligh O'Connell was born on 29 June 1893.2 He was the son of William Bligh Henry O'Connell and Emily Amelia Rosalie Miske.3 He married, firstly, Catherine Robertson Brown, daughter of John Brown and Janet Clark Laidlaw, on 19 September 1934 at Baptist Church, Fairfield, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.4 He married, secondly, Allison Rose Richer after 1940.4 He died on 8 December 1959 at age 66, without issue.1

     She emigrated with his parents to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, arriving on 1909 on board the Osterley.1 From 19 September 1934, her married name became O'Connell.1
