     Joseph Brodie of Muiresk was born before 1675. He was the son of Alexander Brodie of Malne and Muiresk and Lilias Forbes.1 He married, firstly, Vere Brodie, daughter of James Brodie, 16th of Brodie and Lady Mary Kerr, in 1690.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Hume in 1703.1 He died in 1719.1
     He sold the estate of Main to David Brodie of Pitgavery.1 He lived at Muiresk, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.1
