     Sir William Bruce of Stenhouse, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir William Bruce of Stenhouse, 2nd Bt. and Helen Douglas.1 He married, firstly, Jean Fortune on 16 September 1665.1 He married, secondly, Alison Turnbull on 17 April 1679.1 He died in March 1682.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Bruce, of Stenhouse [N.S., 1628].1

     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Bruce, of Stenhouse [N.S., 1628] in March 1682.1
