Lady Diana Russell was the daughter of Sir William Russell, 1st Duke of Bedford and Anne Carr.1 She married, firstly, Sir Greville Verney, 9th Baron Willoughby de Broke, son of Sir Greville Verney, 8th Baron Willoughby de Broke and Elizabeth Wenman, on 29 August 1667.1 She married, secondly, William Alington, 3rd Baron Alington of Killard, son of William Alington, 1st Baron Alington of Killard and Elizabeth Tollemache, on 15 July 1675 at Hackney, London, England.1 She died on 13 December 1701 at Kensington, London, England.1 She was buried on 24 December 1701 at Horseheath, Cambridgeshire, England.1 Her will (dated 14 February 1700/1) was probated on 19 May 1702.1
Her married name became Verney. As a result of her marriage, Lady Diana Russell was styled as Baroness Alington of Killard on 15 July 1675. From 15 July 1675, her married name became Alington.1 As a result of her marriage, Lady Diana Russell was styled as Baroness Alington of Wymondley on 5 December 1682.
