     Sir William Evelyn Houstoun-Boswall was born on 5 June 1892.1 He was the son of Alfred Houstoun-Boswall and Emmeline Charlotte Frances de Winton.2 He married Margaret Dorothy Byron, daughter of George Anson Byron and Georgiana Maie Burdett, on 2 June 1921.2 He died on 2 August 1960 at age 68.1
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.3 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1918.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Black Watch.3 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1942.1 He was British Political Representative to Bulgaria between 1944 and 1947.1 He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Lebanon between 1947 and 1951.3 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1949.1

     Colonel Wilfrid Byron was born on 31 January 1871.1 He was the son of Rev. Hon. William Byron and Mary Elizabeth Kindersley.2 He married Sylvia Mary Moore, daughter of Reverend Charles Thomas Moore and Mabel Charlotte Byron, on 25 September 1901.1 He died in November 1936 at age 65.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was Colonel of the Leicestershire Yeomanry.1

Rupert Frederick George Byron, 11th Baron Byron of Rochdale1

     Rupert Frederick George Byron, 11th Baron Byron of Rochdale was born on 13 August 1903.1 He was the son of Colonel Wilfrid Byron and Sylvia Mary Moore.2 He married Pauline Augusta Cornwall, daughter of T. J. Cornwall, on 29 July 1931.1 He died on 1 November 1983 at age 80, without male issue.3
     He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Leicestershire Yeomanry, Territorial Army.1 He fought in the Second World War, with the Royal Navy.1 He succeeded as the 11th Baron Byron of Rochdale, co. Lancaster [E., 1643] on 6 June 1949.1

     Pauline Augusta Cornwall was the daughter of T. J. Cornwall.2 She married Rupert Frederick George Byron, 11th Baron Byron of Rochdale, son of Colonel Wilfrid Byron and Sylvia Mary Moore, on 29 July 1931.1 She died in 1993.1
     From 29 July 1931, her married name became Byron. After her marriage, Pauline Augusta Cornwall was styled as Baroness Byron of Rochdale on 6 June 1949.
