William Byron was born on 11 October 1831.1 He was the son of Admiral George Anson Byron, 7th Baron Byron of Rochdale and Elizabeth Mary Chandos-Pole.2 He married, firstly, Mary Elizabeth Kindersley, daughter of Sir Richard Torin Kindersley, on 4 February 1857.1 He married, secondly, Mary Burnside, daughter of Reverend John Burnside, on 23 November 1878.1 He died on 17 May 1907 at age 75.1
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was the Rector at Trowell, Nottinghamshire, England.
