     Major Gerard Thomas Noel was born on 13 May 1856.3 He was the son of Hon. Henry Lewis Noel and Emily Elizabeth Noel.2 He married Edith Mary Byron, daughter of Rev. Hon. William Byron and Mary Elizabeth Kindersley, on 19 January 1888.1 He died on 9 November 1941 at age 85.3
     Major Gerard Thomas Noel held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Gloucestershire.3 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Durham Light Infantry.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Devon.3 He gained the rank of Boer War between 1900 and 1901.3
