     Lady Kathleen Mary Cairns was born on 30 July 1870.1 She was the daughter of Hugh MacCalmont Cairns, 1st Earl Cairns and Mary Harriet MacNeile.2 She married Reverend Edward Francis Whateley Eliot, son of Rev. Canon William Eliot and Barbara Baynes, on 30 July 1896.1 She died on 17 February 1939 at age 68.1
      From 30 July 1896, her married name became Eliot.

     Rev. Canon William Eliot was born in 1832.2 He was the son of Dr. William Eliot and Lydia ffolliott.2 He married Barbara Baynes, daughter of Charles Robert Baynes and Jane Louisa Dyneley, in 1858.2 He died on 26 January 1910.2

     Reverend Edward Francis Whateley Eliot was the son of Rev. Canon William Eliot and Barbara Baynes.2,3 He married Lady Kathleen Mary Cairns, daughter of Hugh MacCalmont Cairns, 1st Earl Cairns and Mary Harriet MacNeile, on 30 July 1896.1 He died on 29 June 1943.2
     He was the Chaplain at St. Michael's Church, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Alpes-Maritime, France.1 He held the office of Archdeacon in Italy.1 He held the office of Canon of Gibraltar.1

     John MacGregor Bruce Lockhart was born on 9 May 1914.1 He was the son of John Harold Bruce Lockhart and Mona Brougham.2,3 He married Margaret Evelyn Hone, daughter of Rt. Rev. Campbell Richard Hone and Emily M. Weaver, in 1939. He died on 8 May 1995 at age 80.1,4
     He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1944.1 He was with MI6.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1951.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1966.1

Brigadier Hugh Wilfred John Cairns, Viscount Garmoyle1

     Brigadier Hugh Wilfred John Cairns, Viscount Garmoyle was born on 9 June 1907.1 He was the son of Wilfred Dallas Cairns, 4th Earl Cairns and Olive Cobbold.2 He married Barbara Mary Elisabeth Franklyn, daughter of Captain Arden Franklyn, on 2 June 1936.1 He died in July 1942 at age 35 at Egypt, from wounds received in action.1
     He was styled as Viscount Garmoyle between 1910 and 1942.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the GOC-in-Charge of Southern Command between 1937 and 1938.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the service of the Rifle Brigade.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) (and bar).1

     Barbara Mary Elisabeth Franklyn was the daughter of Captain Arden Franklyn.2 She married, firstly, Brigadier Hugh Wilfred John Cairns, Viscount Garmoyle, son of Wilfred Dallas Cairns, 4th Earl Cairns and Olive Cobbold, on 2 June 1936.2 She married, secondly, Sir John Nicholson Hogg, son of Sir Malcolm Nicholson Hogg and Lorna Beaman, on 28 October 1948.2 She died in 1998.2
      From 2 June 1936, her married name became Cairns. From 28 October 1948, her married name became Hogg.2
