     Lady Kathleen Mary Cairns was born on 30 July 1870.1 She was the daughter of Sir Hugh MacCalmont Cairns, 1st Earl Cairns and Mary Harriet MacNeile.2 She married Reverend Edward Francis Whateley Eliot, son of Rev. Canon William Eliot, on 30 July 1896.1 She died on 17 February 1939 at age 68.1
     From 30 July 1896, her married name became Eliot.

     Reverend Edward Francis Whateley Eliot was born before 1881. He was the son of Rev. Canon William Eliot.2 He married Lady Kathleen Mary Cairns, daughter of Sir Hugh MacCalmont Cairns, 1st Earl Cairns and Mary Harriet MacNeile, on 30 July 1896.1 He died on 29 June 1943.3
     Reverend Edward Francis Whateley Eliot was the Chaplain at St. Michael's Church, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Alpes-Maritime, France.1 He held the office of Archdeacon in Italy.1 He held the office of Canon of Gibraltar.1

     Brigadier Hugh Wilfred John Cairns, Viscount Garmoyle was born on 9 June 1907.1 He was the son of Wilfred Dallas Cairns, 4th Earl Cairns and Olive Cobbold.2 He married Barbara Elizabeth Franklyn, daughter of Captain Arden Franklyn, on 2 June 1936.1 He died in July 1942 at age 35 at Egypt, from wounds received in action.1
     Brigadier Hugh Wilfred John Cairns, Viscount Garmoyle was styled as Viscount Garmoyle between 1910 and 1942.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to the GOC-in-Charge of Southern Command between 1937 and 1938.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the service of the Rifle Brigade.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was decorated with the Companion of the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) (and bar).1
