     Hon. John Sinclair was born on 4 July 1808.1 He was the son of Sir James Sinclair of Mey, 12th Earl of Caithness and Jean Campbell.2 He married Maria Petronella Church, daughter of John Church, on 22 October 1833.1 He died on 8 January 1861 at age 52.1
     Hon. John Sinclair was an Army Officer.1

     Maria Petronella Church was the daughter of John Church.2 She married Hon. John Sinclair, son of Sir James Sinclair of Mey, 12th Earl of Caithness and Jean Campbell, on 22 October 1833.1 She died on 26 February 1878.1
     From 22 October 1833, her married name became Sinclair.

     Captain John Sinclair was the son of William Sinclair and Elizabeth Sinclair.2 He died on 18 June 1815, killed in action, unmarried.3
     Captain John Sinclair gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 79th Foot.1 He fought in the Battle of Waterloo on 18 June 1815.1
