     Sir William Sinclair of Mey, 2nd Bt. is the son of Sir James Sinclair of Mey, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Leslie.2 He married Margaret Mackenzie, daughter of George Mackenzie, 2nd Earl of Seaforth, circa 4 October 1643.1
     Sir William Sinclair of Mey, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Sinclair, of Canisbay, co. Caithness [N.S., 1631] on 20 April 1662.1

     James Sutherland, 2nd Lord Duffus was the son of Sir Alexander Sutherland, 1st Lord Duffus and Margaret Stuart.2 He married Lady Margaret Mackenzie, daughter of Kenneth Mackenzie, 3rd Earl of Seaforth and Isabel Mackenzie, circa 1674.2 He died on 24 September 1705.2
     James Sutherland, 2nd Lord Duffus succeeded to the title of 2nd Lord Duffus [S., 1650] on 31 August 1674.2 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] in 1686.2 He killed a creditor, William Ross, of Kindeace. He fled to England were he received immunity for the murder.2
