Hallyburton George Campbell, 3rd Baron Stratheden of Cupar and Campbell of St. Andrews was born on 18 October 1829.2 He was the son of John Campbell, 1st Baron Campbell of St. Andrews and Mary Elizabeth Scarlett, Baroness Stratheden of Cupar.2 He married Louisa Mary Hope, daughter of Rt. Hon. Alexander James Beresford Beresford-Hope and Lady Mildred Arabella Charlotte Gascoyne-Cecil, on 24 August 1865 at Kilndown, Gouldhurst, Kent, England.2 He died on 26 December 1918 at age 89 at Bruton Street, Westminster, London, England.2
He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 40th Middlesex Rifle Volunteers.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron Stratheden of Cupar, co.
