     Robert Shapland George Julian Carew, 3rd Baron Carew was born on 15 June 1860 at 61 FitzWilliam Square, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1,3 He was the son of Robert Shapland Carew, 2nd Baron Carew and Emily Anne Philips.2 He married Julia Mary Lethbridge, daughter of Albert Arthur Erin Lethbridge and Jane Hill, on 27 June 1888 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England.1,3 He died on 29 April 1923 at age 62 at 28 Belgrave Square, London, England, without issue.1,4
     Robert Shapland George Julian Carew, 3rd Baron Carew succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron Carew of Castle Boro, co. Wexford [U.K., 1838] on 9 September 1881.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron Carew, of co. Wexford [I., 1834] on 9 September 1881.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1882 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1,3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Wexford.1

     Julia Mary Lethbridge was the daughter of Albert Arthur Erin Lethbridge and Jane Hill.2,3 She married Robert Shapland George Julian Carew, 3rd Baron Carew, son of Robert Shapland Carew, 2nd Baron Carew and Emily Anne Philips, on 27 June 1888 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England.1,3 She died on 28 September 1922.1
     As a result of her marriage, Julia Mary Lethbridge was styled as Baroness Carew on 27 June 1888. From 27 June 1888, her married name became Carew.

     From 5 October 1888, her married name became Carew. As a result of her marriage, Maud Beatrice Ramsay was styled as Baroness Carew on 29 April 1923.

     Thomas de Carew also went by the nick-name of Wallensis (or in English, of Wales).1 He held the office of Bishop of St. David's in 1248.1
