      On 28 December 1926 she was granted the rank of a baron's daughter.1

     Hon. Ellen Jane Carew was born circa 1829. She was the daughter of Robert Shapland Carew, 1st Baron Carew and Jane Catherine Cliffe.2 She married Charles Glynn Prideaux-Brune, son of Charles Prideaux-Brune and Frances Mary Glynn, on 29 July 1846.1 She died on 12 September 1902.1
      From 29 July 1846, her married name became Prideaux-Brune.

      From 21 April 1904, her married name became Carew. As a result of her marriage, Catherine Conolly was styled as Baroness Carew on 21 April 1926.

     Major Hon. Gavin George Carew was born on 21 September 1906.2 He was the son of Gerald Shapland Carew, 5th Baron Carew and Catherine Conolly.2 He married Aileen Hilda Frances Cecil, daughter of Ean Francis Cecil and Hilda Mary Daubeny Wemyss, on 30 April 1932.2 He died on 11 October 1997 at age 91.2
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.2 He fought in the Second World War, in the Western Desert, Italy, Belgium and Germany, and was mentioned in depstaches.2 He was decorated with the award of the U.S. Legion of Merit.2 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the County of London Yeomanry.2 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.2 He was decorated with the award of the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1956.2
