Sir William Cowper, 1st Bt. was born on 7 March 1582.1 He was the son of John Cowper and Elizabeth Ironside.2 He married Martha Master, daughter of James Master.2 He died on 20 December 1664 at age 82.1
He was imprisoned for his loyalty to King Charles I.2 He was created 1st Baronet Cowper, of Ratlin Court, co. Kent [England] on 4 March 1642.2

Sir Nicholas fitz Maurice, 2nd Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw was the son of Maurice fitz Thomas, 1st Baron of Kerry and Lixnaw and Ellen fitz William.1 He married Slany O'Brien, daughter of Connor O'Brien, Prince of Thomond.2 He died in 1317.3,4
