David Lindsay, 3rd Earl of Crawford1

     David Lindsay, 3rd Earl of Crawford was the son of Alexander Lindsay, 2nd Earl of Crawford and Marjorie Dunbar.2 He married Marjory Ogilvy, daughter of Sir Alexander Ogilvy of Auchterhouse, circa March 1422/23.3 He died on 17 January 1445/46 at Finhaven Castle, Angus, Scotland, after being wounded 4 days earlier, while trying to stop a bloody fray between the Ogilvies and the Lindsays.3
     He held the office of Hereditary Sheriff of Aberdeenshire.4 He was invested as a Knight before 17 November 1425.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Aberdeenshire.2 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Earl of Crawford [S., 1398] in 1438.2

Marjory Ogilvy1

     Marjory Ogilvy was the daughter of Sir Alexander Ogilvy of Auchterhouse.2 She married David Lindsay, 3rd Earl of Crawford, son of Alexander Lindsay, 2nd Earl of Crawford and Marjorie Dunbar, circa March 1422/23.3 She died after 1476.3
      From circa March 1422/23, her married name became Lindsay.4 As a result of her marriage, Marjory Ogilvy was styled as Countess of Crawford in 1438.

Patrick Lindsay was born on 14 November 1928.1 He was the son of David Alexander Robert Lindsay, 28th Earl of Crawford and Mary Katherine Cavendish.1 He married Lady Amabel Mary Maud Yorke, daughter of Philip Grantham Yorke, 9th Earl of Hardwicke and Sarah Katharine Lindley, on 16 December 1955.1 He died in 1986.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the service of the Scots Guards.1 He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was a director of Christies, and head of the Old Masters department.1

      Her married name became Lindsay. She lived in 2003 at 12 Lansdowne Road, London, England.1

     Philip Grantham Yorke, 9th Earl of Hardwicke was born on 9 April 1906.3 He was the son of Hon. Alfred Ernest Frederick Yorke and Gladys Dunlop Best.3 He married, firstly, Sarah Katharine Lindley, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Francis Oswald Lindley and Hon. Etheldreada Mary Fraser, on 12 June 1934.3 He married, secondly, Enid Grunwald, daughter of Pieter Grunwald, on 27 April 1970.4 He died on 31 December 1974 at age 68.3
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Life Guards.3 He succeeded to the title of 9th Baron Hardwicke, of Hardwicke, co. Gloucester [G.B., 1733] on 1 February 1936.1 He succeeded to the title of 9th Viscount Royston, co. Cambridge [G.B., 1754] on 1 February 1936.3 He succeeded to the title of 9th Earl of Hardwicke [G.B., 1754] on 1 February 1936.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Artillery, AAC.3

     Anthony Robert Lindsay, Baron Balniel was born on 24 November 1958.2 He is the son of Robert Alexander Lindsay, 29th Earl of Crawford and Ruth Beatrice Meyer-Bechtler.2 He married Nicola A. Bicket, daughter of Antony Bicket, on 12 August 1989.1
     He gained the title of Master of Lindsay. He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was styled as Baron Balniel on 24 January 1975. He was educated at University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2 He was a director of J. O. Hambro Investment Management in 1987.1
