     Margaret Douglas was the daughter of William Douglas, 1st Earl of Queensberry and Lady Isabel Kerr.1,2 A contract for the marriage of Margaret Douglas and James Johnstone, 1st Earl of Hartfell was signed on 29 November 1622.2 She died after 1640.2
      Her married name became Johnstone. As a result of her marriage, Margaret Douglas was styled as Lady Johnstone on 20 June 1633.

     He gained the title of 2nd Lord Kirkcudbright.

     Ruth Beatrice Meyer-Bechtler is the daughter of Leo Meyer-Bechtler.1 She married Robert Alexander Lindsay, 29th Earl of Crawford, son of David Alexander Robert Lindsay, 28th Earl of Crawford and Mary Katherine Cavendish, on 27 December 1949.1
      Her married name became Lindsay. As a result of her marriage, Ruth Beatrice Meyer-Bechtler was styled as Countess of Crawford on 13 December 1975.
