     Thomas Carmichael, 5th Earl of Hyndford was born in 1750.2 He was the son of Daniel Carmichael and Emilia Hepburn.1 He died on 14 February 1811 at Mauldsley Castle, ScotlandG, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Carmichael, of Westraw and Hyndford, co. Lanark [N.S., 1627] on 21 December 1787.3 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Carmichael of Carmichael [S., 1701] on 21 December 1787.1 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Hyndford [S., 1701] on 21 December 1787.1 He succeeded as the 5th Viscount Inglisberry and Nemphlar [S., 1701] on 21 December 1787.1

     Andrew Carmichael, 6th Earl of Hyndford was the son of Daniel Carmichael and Emilia Hepburn.1 He died on 18 April 1817.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 16th Light Dragoons.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Carmichael, of Westraw and Hyndford, co. Lanark [N.S., 1627] on 14 February 1811.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Carmichael of Carmichael [S., 1701] on 14 February 1811.1 He succeeded as the 6th Earl of Hyndford [S., 1701] on 14 February 1811.1 He succeeded as the 6th Viscount Inglisberry and Nemphlar [S., 1701] on 14 February 1811.1
