     Lt.-Cdr. Thomas Gerald Auckland Moncreiffe was born on 13 September 1886.1 He was the son of Thomas George Harry Moncreiffe and Elisabeth Muir.1 He married Hilda de Miremont, daughter of Comte François de Miremont, on 17 June 1918.1 He died on 3 June 1922 at age 35.1
     Lt.-Cdr. Thomas Gerald Auckland Moncreiffe usually went by his middle name of Gerald.1 He was educated at H.M.S. Britannia, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1
