     Robert Dalzell of that Ilk was the son of Robert Dalzell of that Ilk and unknown wife (?).1 He married Janet Hamilton, daughter of Gavin Hamilton, circa 1 May 1558.1 He died before February 1610.1
     Robert Dalzell of that Ilk fought in the Battle of Langside on 13 May 1568, for Queen Mary.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wigtown [Scotland] in 1587.1
