Dorothea Jane French was born on 25 December 1826.1 She was the daughter of William Christopher St. George French.2 She married Lt.-Col. William Montgomerie Stewart Caulfeild, son of Commander James Caulfeild and Hon. Augusta Crofton, on 8 June 1847.3 She died on 23 March 1916 at age 89.3

William Montgomerie Stewart Caulfeild and Dorothea Jane French.2 He married Edith Mabel Browning, daughter of Henry Bainbridge Browning, on 4 February 1897.1 He died on 9 August 1915 at age 57 at Gallipoli, Turkey, killed in action.3
