     Sir Coles John Jeremy Child, 3rd Bt. was born on 20 September 1944.1 He is the son of Sir Coles John Child, 2nd Bt. and Sheila Mathewson.3 He married, firstly, Deborah Jane Snelling, daughter of Henry Percival Snelling, on 19 March 1971.1 He and Deborah Jane Snelling were divorced in 1976.1 He married, secondly, Jan Todd, daughter of Bernard Todd, on 21 July 1978.4 He and Jan Todd were divorced in 1987.4 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Morgan, daughter of Reverend Grenville Morgan, in 1987.4
