     Kenneth James William Mackay, 3rd Earl of Inchcape was born on 27 December 1917.1 He was the son of Kenneth Mackay, 2nd Earl of Inchcape and Joan Moriarty.3 He married, firstly, Aline Thorn Pease, daughter of Sir Richard Arthur Pease, 2nd Bt. and Jeannette Thorn Kissel, on 12 February 1941.3 He and Aline Thorn Pease were divorced in 1954.3 He married, secondly, Caroline Cholmeley Harrison, daughter of Major Cholmeley Dering Cholmeley Harrison and Barbara Mary Corisande Bellew, on 13 February 1965.1 He died on 17 March 1994 at age 76.1,4
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 12th Lancers.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Glenapp, of Strathnaver, co. Sutherland [U.K., 1929] on 21 June 1939.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Inchcape [U.K., 1929] on 21 June 1939.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Inchcape, of Strathnaver, co. Sutherland [U.K., 1911] on 21 June 1939.3 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Inchcape, of Strathnaver, co. Sutherland [U.K., 1924] on 21 June 1939.3 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1940 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the 27th Lancers.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1948 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was chairman of Inchcape & Company and P&O.1 He was a director of Burmah Oil Company between 1960 and 1975.4 He was a director of BP Company between 1965 and 1983.4 He adopted Anthony Kenneth Mackay.1

     Aline Thorn Pease was born on 27 January 1919.3 She was the daughter of Sir Richard Arthur Pease, 2nd Bt. and Jeannette Thorn Kissel.3 She married, firstly, P/O Patrick Claude Hannay, son of Claude Patrick Hannay and Elizabeth Ellerton Dorr, on 1 May 1940.3 She married, secondly, Kenneth James William Mackay, 3rd Earl of Inchcape, son of Kenneth Mackay, 2nd Earl of Inchcape and Joan Moriarty, on 12 February 1941.1 She and Kenneth James William Mackay, 3rd Earl of Inchcape were divorced in 1954.1 She married, thirdly, Thomas Chambers Windsor Roe, son of John Valentine Roe, on 4 June 1955.3 She and Thomas Chambers Windsor Roe were divorced in 1968.3 She died on 4 September 2010 at age 91 at Lausanne, Switzerland.4
     Aline Thorn Pease also went by the nick-name of Pixie.3 From 1 May 1940, her married name became Hannay.3 From 12 February 1941, her married name became Mackay.1 After her marriage, Aline Thorn Pease was styled as Countess of Inchcape on 12 February 1941. From 4 June 1955, her married name became Roe.3

     Joan Moriarty was the daughter of Rt. Hon. John Francis Moriarty.1 She married Kenneth Mackay, 2nd Earl of Inchcape, son of James Lyle Mackay, 1st Earl of Inchcape and Jean Paterson Shanks, on 22 September 1915.1 She and Kenneth Mackay, 2nd Earl of Inchcape were divorced in 1931.1 She died on 13 February 1933.1
     From 22 September 1915, her married name became Mackay.1
