     Sir Edward Hartopp, 2nd Bt. was born in 1608.2 He was the son of Sir Edward Hartopp, 1st Bt. and Mary Dryden.3 He married Mary Coke, daughter of Sir John Coke.2 He died in 1657.2
     He was appointed Knight in 1634.2 He raised a Parliamentary regiment during the Civil War.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hartopp, of Freathby, co. Leicester [E., 1619] in 1652.2

     He held the office of Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1746.2 He gained the rank of Colonel in the South Lincolnshire Militia.2 He lived at Denton, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.1
