Sir Edward Hartopp, 2nd Bt. was born in 1608.2 He was the son of Sir Edward Hartopp, 1st Bt. and Mary Dryden.3 He married Mary Coke, daughter of Sir John Coke.2 He died in 1657.2
He was invested as a Knight in 1634.2 He raised a Parliamentary regiment during the Civil War.2 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Hartopp, of Freathby, co. Leicester [E., 1619] in 1652.2
