     Michael George Russell Adams was the son of Captain Henry George Homer Adams.² He married Mary Helen Clerk, daughter of Herbert Edward Clerk and Helen Heuer, on 22 December 1939.¹ He died on 27 April 1995.¹

     Susan Edith Clerk was the daughter of Sir James Clerk of Penicuik, 7th Bt. and Jane Calvert Henderson.¹ She married Sir Alan Henry Seton-Steuart of Allanton and Touch, 4th Bt., son of Archibald Seton-Steuart and Katherine Stein, on 5 June 1883.¹ She died on 21 April 1907, without issue.¹

Lanarks.¹ He gained the title of 4th Baronet Seton-Steuart. He graduated in 1862 with a Eton and Pembroke College Oxford Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) ).¹

     Jane Isabella Maria Clerk was the daughter of Sir James Clerk of Penicuik, 7th Bt. and Jane Calvert Henderson.¹ She died on 25 January 1936, unmarried.¹

     Mary Elizabeth Clerk was the daughter of Sir James Clerk of Penicuik, 7th Bt. and Jane Calvert Henderson.¹ She died on 9 December 1940, unmarried.¹

     Clare Laura Catherine Adams was born on 2 August 1971.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Nicholas Henry Harvey Adams and Leila King.²
     She was educated at St. Mary's School, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ She graduated from St. John's College, Durham University, Durham, County Durham, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹
