     Sir James Clerk of Penicuik, 7th Bt. was born on 17 July 1812.3 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir George Clerk of Penicuik, 6th Bt. and Maria Anne Law.2 He married Jane Calvert Henderson, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Mercer Henderson, on 26 June 1851.3 He died on 17 November 1870 at age 58 at Clifton, Gloucestershire, England.4
     Sir James Clerk of Penicuik, 7th Bt. gained the rank of Captain Commandant in the service of the 3rd Midlothian Volunteers, formerly 9th Lancers.3 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Midlothian.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Midlothian.3 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Clerk, of Penicuik, Edinburgh [N.S., 1679] on 23 December 1867.1

     George Edward Clerk was born on 18 March 1815.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir George Clerk of Penicuik, 6th Bt. and Maria Anne Law.2 He married Marie Louise Elizabeth Dupuis, daughter of Casimir Dupuis, on 27 November 1849.1 He died on 30 September 1875 at age 60.1
     George Edward Clerk lived at Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Montreal.1
     He also had three daughters.1

     George Edward Clerk was born on 4 September 1850.1 He was the son of George Edward Clerk and Marie Louise Elizabeth Dupuis.2 He married, firstly, Henrietta Davignon on 12 January 1875.1 He married, secondly, Regina Renois, daughter of F. X. Renois, in 1889.1 He died on 29 September 1906 at age 56.1
