Sackville Philip Tufton was born on 5 May 1875.² He is the son of Henry James Tufton, 1st Baron Hothfield of Hothfield and Alice Harriot Argyll Clitherow.^1,2 He married, firstly, Cicely Mary Isabel Hill, daughter of Captain Arthur Blundell George Sandys Hill and Helen Emily Chenevix Trench, on 22 April 1911.¹ He married, secondly, Winifred Mary Ripley Dalton, daughter of Edward Ripley Dalton, on 9 December 1913.¹ He died on 24 January 1936 at age 60.²
