     Major Heneage Frank Stopford was born on 14 July 1877.2 He was the son of James Sydney Stopford and Katherine Mary Waller.1,2 He married Margaret Amelia Kennedy, daughter of Edward Briggs Kennedy and Caroline Edith Jackson, on 31 October 1908.1 He died on 15 September 1916 at age 39, killed in action.1
     Major Heneage Frank Stopford fought in the First World War.2 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Horse Artillery.1
