     Sir Alexander Grant of Dalvey, 7th Bt. was born circa 1750.1 He was the son of Sir Ludovic Grant of Dalvey, 6th Bt. and Margaret Innes.1,2 He married Sarah Cray, daughter of Jeremiah Cray and Sarah Colebrooke, on 13 July 1775.1 He died on 26 July 1825.1
     He sold the Dalvey estate.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Grant, of Dalvey [N.S., 1688] on 17 September 1790.1

Sir Robert Innes Grant of Dalvey, 9th Bt.1

     Sir Robert Innes Grant of Dalvey, 9th Bt. was born on 8 April 1794.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Grant of Dalvey, 7th Bt. and Sarah Cray.1,2 He married Judith Towers Battelle, daughter of Cornelius Durant Battelle, on 17 December 1825.1 He died on 1 August 1856 at age 62.1
     He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Grant, of Dalvey [N.S., 1688] on 29 November 1854.1

     Sir Alexander Grant of Dalvey, 10th Bt. was born on 13 September 1826.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Innes Grant of Dalvey, 9th Bt. and Judith Towers Battelle.1,2 He married Susan Ferrier, daughter of James Frederick Ferrier and Margaret Wilson, on 2 June 1859.1 He died on 30 November 1884 at age 58.1
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1848 with a Oxford Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1852 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Examiner in the Indian Civil Service in 1855.1 He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Grant, of Dalvey [N.S., 1688] on 1 August 1856.1 He was Examiner in Classical School Oxford in 1857.1 He was Inspector of Schools, Madras Presidency in 1858.1 He was Professor of History in 1860 at Elphinestone CollegeG.1 He was the Pricnipal in 1862 at Elphinestone CollegeG.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, in 1865.1 He was Director of Public Instruction in 1865 at Bombay, IndiaG.1 He held the office of Vice-Chancellor of Bombay University in 1866.1 He held the office of Member of the Legislative Assembly (M.L.A.) [Bombay] in 1868.1 He was the Principal and Vice-Chancellor between 1868 and 1884 at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG, in 1869.1 He was member of the Board of Education [Scotland] between 1872 and 1878.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) by Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1880.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1

     Ljaba Saviditsch was the daughter of Dmitiri Saviditsch.1 She married Mstislaw I, Grand Prince of Kiev, son of Vladimir II Monomakh, Prince of Novgorod and Kiev and Gytha (?).1 She died in 1167.1
