     Joan Colt was born in 1488.2 She was the daughter of John Colt and Elizabeth Elrington.1 She married Sir Thomas More, son of John More and Agnes Grainger, in 1504.1 She died in 1511.2
     She was also known as Jane.3 She was also known as Jean.1 From 1504, her married name became More.1

     Sir Thomas More was born on 7 February 1477/78 at Milk Street, London, EnglandG.2,3 He was the son of John More and Agnes Grainger.3 He married, firstly, Joan Colt, daughter of John Colt and Elizabeth Elrington, in 1504.1 He married, secondly, Alice Harpur, daughter of Sir Richard Harpur and Elizabeth Ardern, after 1511.4 He died on 6 July 1535 at age 57, beheaded for treason.2
     He wrote the book Utopia, published 1516.2

     Penuel Cunningham is the daughter of James Cunningham.2 She married Sir James Colquhoun of Luss, 4th Bt., son of Sir John Colquhoun of Luss, 1st Bt. and Lady Lilias Graham, before 1669.1
     From before 1669, her married name became Colquhoun.1

Sir Humphrey Colquhoun of Luss, 5th Bt.1

     Sir Humphrey Colquhoun of Luss, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir James Colquhoun of Luss, 4th Bt. and Penuel Cunningham.2 He married Margaret Houstoun, daughter of Sir Patrick Houstoun of that Ilk, 1st Bt. and Ana Hamilton, on 4 April 1684.2 He died in 1718.2
     He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Colquhoun, of Luss [N.S., 1625] in 1688.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dunbartonshire [Scotland] in 1703.2 On 30 March 1704 having no sons, he resigned his baronetcy to the Crown and obtained 29 April 1704 a new patent with the former precedency and limitation, failing heirs male of his body, to James Grant of Pluscardine and the heirs male of the latter's marriage with his daughter Anne.2 In 1706 entailed his lands on Humphrey Grant, his daughter's eldest son, and the heirs male of the latter's body, whom failing on the other sons of the marriage, and the heirs male of their body, with the proviso that the Grant and Colquhoun estates were never to be united.2
