     Sir James Colquhoun of Luss, 2nd Bt. was born on 28 July 1741.1 He was the son of Sir James Colquhoun of Luss, 1st Bt. and Helen Gordon.2 He married Mary Falconer, daughter of James Falconer, on 22 July 1773.1 He died on 20 April 1805 at age 63.1
     Sir James Colquhoun of Luss, 2nd Bt. held the office of Sheriff of Dunbartonshire in 1775.1 He held the office of Principal Clerk of Session in 1779.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Colquhoun, of Luss [G.B., 1786] in 1786.1
