     Sir James Colville was born in 1532.1 He was the son of Sir James Colville of Ochiltree and Alison Bruce.2 He married Janet Douglas, daughter of Sir Robert Douglas of Lochleven.1 He died circa 16 May 1561.1
     In 1543 he had his father's forfeiture reversed.1 He lived at Easter Wemyss, Scotland.1
