     Sir James Colville was born in 1532.1 He was the son of Sir James Colville of Ochiltree and Alison Bruce.2 He married Janet Douglas, daughter of Sir Robert Douglas of Lochleven and Margaret Erskine.1 He died circa 16 May 1561.1
      In 1543 he had his father's forfeiture reversed.1 He lived at Easter Wemyss, Scotland.1

     James Colville, 2nd Lord Colville of Culross was born in 1604.1 He was the son of Robert Colville, Master of Colville and Christian Bruce.2 He married, secondly, unknown wife (?).1 He married, thirdly, Margaret Clynton.1 He married, firstly, Magdalen Young, daughter of Sir Peter Young of Seton, in 1622.1 He died in 1654.1
     He succeeded to the title of 2nd Lord Colville of Culross [S., 1604] in September 1629.1
